AND COOPERATIVE SERVICES PROVIDED

Level of Care

The Recovery Works program is appropriate for clients requiring care from Early Interventions(0.5) to Partial Hospitalization(2.5), Ambulatory Withdrawal Management without Extended Onsite Management(1-WM), and Ambulatory Withdrawal Management with Extended Onside Monitoring(1-WM) as defined by the American Society of Addiction Medicines (ASAM) criteria.

Services Provided

Recovery Works provides outpatient drug and alcohol treatment and education using the following services and modalities directly by qualified staff in an outpatient setting:

• Group Therapy

• Individual Therapy

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

• Trauma Recovery Therapy

• Family Therapy

• Life Skills Training

• Anger Management

• Pastoral Counseling

Recovery Works also complements its service offerings through direct cooperative affiliations off-site where services are provided by qualified service providers in the community or under contract:

  • DUI Assessment and Education

  • Vocational Testing and Evaluation

  • Job Search Training

  • Mind-Body Integrative Training

  • Community Self-Help Facilitation

  • Exercise and Health Programs

Medical services are coordinated through our Medical Director and relationships with community medical providers. Emergency medical or psychiatric services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through Gwinnet Medical Center, Duluth. Services beyond medical monitoring are performed off site by licensed practitioners in coordination with Recovery Works Nursing or Medical staff. A Nurse Practitioner Telephone Consultation is also available.

Housing Needs

At the time of intake, housing needs will be assessed and participation in a sober living community may be a condition of enrollment in the program. Such decision would be made in in order to facilitate program participation.

Housing needs, if identified, are provided through referral to a local sober living facility, Recovery Works provides no treatment services at these facilities but may coordinate care with their on-site managers. Such services are delivered at the Recovery Works Outpatient Facility by qualified staff during normal hours of operation.

Recovery Works may provide transportation services amount the providers during normal operating hours or at special times announced during the day programs. Transportation may include service to nightly meetings and transportation to and from a central location.

Co-Occurring Disorders

Recovery Works utilizes licensed or credentialed clinical staff working with its allied professional staff in an interdisciplinary team approach. Its licensed Medical Director experienced in the treatment of substance use disorders is on call 24 hours a day.

Recovery Works staff are knowledgeable about the biological and psychosocial dimensions of substance abuse and mental health disorders. They are able to identify the signs and symptoms of acute psychiatric conditions, including psychiatric decompensation. Staff supervision includes ongoing specialized training in behavior management techniques.
